Martin Bennis Sr. established Bennis Construction, focusing on residential re-siding and home improvement rather than new construction. This early dedication to craftsmanship and service became the cornerstone of the company’s reputation and long-term success.

Marty separated from Bennis Construction to establish Suburban Aluminum, Inc., a company centered on new construction siding installation. This milestone marked the start of an independent path that would grow into a cornerstone of the family’s lasting presence in the exterior construction industry.

Marty and Zenalou Bennis stepped into leadership together, guiding the company with dedication and stability through an important chapter of growth and change while continuing the family tradition of hands-on ownership.

Marty and Zenalou Bennis built a new office in Hamel, MN, providing a central location for daily operations and laying important groundwork for the company’s future expansion and success.

North Country Distributors “NCD” was founded by Mike and Marty Bennis. Over the years, operations were periodically paused to prioritize and strengthen North Country Distributors’ working relationship with Minnesota Exteriors, Inc., helping lay the groundwork for the long-standing partnership that continues today.

Marty and Zenalou Bennis purchased the company from Mike Bennis, proudly carrying forward the Bennis family legacy and deepening the values of craftsmanship, integrity, and commitment that would guide future generations.

After deepening the relationship between North Country Distributors and Minnesota Exteriors, Inc. Tom Bennis played a key role in re-establishing North Country Distributors, reinforcing a strong partnership that continues to support both companies’ success today.

Greg, Jeff, Dan, and Tom Bennis took on leadership roles within the company, bringing fresh perspective and long-term vision while continuing the tradition of family ownership and setting the stage for decades of growth.

Minnesota Exteriors, Inc. relocated its operations with North Country Distributors from Hamel, MN to a larger shared facility in Osseo, MN, enabling both companies to expand independently while continuing to operate from the same building, a location Minnesota Exteriors, Inc. still occupies today.

Minnesota Exteriors, Inc. expanded its operations by welcoming Wellington Windows into the organization, a milestone that broadened our product offerings, strengthened our technical expertise, and reinforced our commitment to delivering exceptional, high-quality window solutions.

David Kapsner was named President of Minnesota Exteriors, Inc. ushering in a new chapter of leadership and continued growth. He remains in this role today, guiding the company forward with a commitment to excellence and long-term success.

Minnesota Exteriors, Inc. established Minnesota Exteriors Commercial (MEC) to meet the growing demand for professional commercial exterior services, broadening our client base and reinforcing our commitment to quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships.
